Style Worksheet: My Confident Self Looks Like…

Use this template to help you explore and define your ideal confident style. It includes simple exercises to clarify your goals and take actionable steps. Reflecting on your values, understanding your current reality, and making well-informed decisions can help you create a functional closet and a more confident an fulfilling life.

Follow the 5-step Style worksheet

  1. Self-Reflect

What five values are non-negotiable to me?

  1. Love

  2. Integrity

  3. Compassion

  4. Authenticity

  5. Gratitude

Running out of ideas? Check a list here:

List of Values: Integrity, Honesty, Compassion, Empathy, Respect, Gratitude, Kindness, Patience, Courage, Authenticity, Loyalty, Generosity, Responsibility, Mindfulness, Humility, Accountability, Excellence, Innovation, Collaboration, Dependability, Professionalism, Leadership, Efficiency, Adaptability, Transparency, Work-life balance, Continuous learning, Ethical behavior

List three things you love about your current life:

  1. Strong and supportive relationships with God, family,

  1. and friends.

  2. A fulfilling career that challenges and motivates me.

  3. Opportunities for personal growth and self-improvement.

List three things you wish to change or improve:

  1. Develop a more consistent and stylish wardrobe that reflects my values.

  2. Improve work-life balance by setting better boundaries.

  3. Enhance and prioritize my physical fitness and overall health.

2. Accept Today

Write down the reality of one aspect you wish to change:

Example: “During the week, when I don't have to leave the house or studio, I often find myself struggling to put on something different to gym clothes…  My thing is that I want to wear outfits that make me feel comfortable, resulting in feeling self-conscious throughout the day”

Then, Identify what you can and cannot control in this situation.

Can Control:

  • The types of clothing I purchase (in my case that I make).

  • The time and effort I invest in planning outfits that are comfortable but also show my confidence.

  • Learning more about fashion and style that aligns with my personality and my current lifestyle, for example athleisure.

Cannot Control:

  • Trends and fashion industry standards.

  • Opinions and judgments of others about my style.

3. Craft Your Vision

Spend 10 minutes visualizing your style goals and write a paragraph describing it.

Tip: You can ask yourself questions: How do you start and end your day? What activities and people fill your day? How do you feel when you wear____, and what environments, places are you in or do you frequent?

Example: “I start my day with a mindful morning routine that includes meditation, prayer, coffee, and selecting an outfit that goes according to the things I have to do during the day and that reflects my inner confidence and authenticity. My wardrobe is organized and filled with pieces that are both stylish and comfortable, making it easy to create polished looks effortlessly. My day is filled with productive work, social interactions, and moments of self-care, all while feeling empowered by my appearance. I feel at ease in my clothing, whether I'm in a professional setting, socializing with friends, or working from home or the studio. The environments I frequent are vibrant and positive, and my style seamlessly fits into these spaces, enhancing my overall sense of well-being.

4. Create a mood board containing all the elements of your description.

(Use Pinterest or a folder on your phone to collect images that inspire your vision.)

5. Make Your Outfit Decisions

Create a to-do list with three weekly tasks that align with your fashion vision goals. Always circle back when the week is over. Remember at the beginning is a habit you make but eventually, it will become part of your life and personal style.

  1. Organize and Declutter: Go through my wardrobe and donate or sell items that no longer align with my style goals.

  2. Research and Plan: Spend an hour researching fashion styles that resonate with my values and create a list of essential wardrobe pieces.

  3. Experiment and Reflect: Try out new outfits and combinations from my existing wardrobe, take note of what makes me feel confident, and adjust accordingly.
